Balsa wood has highly porous fibers, allowing it to absorb moisture and tobacco residues without altering the aroma and taste. Using this wood, Savinelli has produced filters without the addition of chemicals, which absorb:

• 91% of tar
• 77% of nicotine

It is recommended to change the filter every two or three smokes.
