ACHAIA CLAUSS is located on the hill of the same name and was founded in 1861 by the Bavarian Gustav Clauss, who was impressed by the area and its vineyard. Initially, he bought a vineyard of only 60 stremmas and created the Castle-Winery, which is preserved to this day. It has been winemaking since 1861.
ACHAIA CLAUSS now produces its products in state-of-the-art facilities.
