The Jata espresso maker can prepare up to 6 cups of coffee. It offers an economical alternative compared to espresso machines and operates by placing it directly on a stovetop burner.
The process of making coffee is simple:
- Fill the bottom part (water container) with water, without exceeding the level of the safety valve.
- Fill the conical filter with ground coffee, avoiding pressing it down.
- Remove any residues from the rim and place the filter above the water container.
- Screw the top part of the coffee maker onto the water container.
- Place the coffee maker on a stove burner.
When the water boils, extraction will begin, and hot, fresh coffee will be brewed. Its operation is based on steam pressure, although the coffee maker produces less pressure (usually 2 to 3 bar). The coffee you use should be slightly coarser ground than that used for espresso machines.
