I received the BOYA Mini 2 and as soon as I opened them, I was impressed by how small they are. For their price (about €40), they do a very decent job for content.
Their main selling point is the AI Noise Cancelling, which for vloggers (like me) is really useful, especially when filming while traveling or in noisy environments. There’s also an app, from which you control the microphone’s performance, called BOYA Central. Through the BOYA Central app, you can easily tweak the settings and adjust the sound as you like.
The only downside is that you need to know what you’re tweaking to get the best result, because every environment requires a different setup, like you’ll use different settings on the street and others at home. It’s not difficult, of course, but if you’re a beginner, you’ll need some time to learn what terms like Equalizer mean, etc.
Overall, if you’re looking for a budget solution for better sound in your videos, it’s an option worth checking out, especially if you care about practicality and small size. If you’re a beginner and want to make your videos with your phone, I consider them a very good choice to start learning about settings, etc.
P.S.: If you’re getting them for a camera, check that your camera accepts Type-C as a mic input, because the Sony ZV-E10 I have doesn’t have a Type-C input for a microphone.
Παρέλαβα τα BOYA Mini 2 και μόλις τα άνοιξα μου έκανε εντύπωση το πόσο μικρά είναι. Για την τιμή τους (περίπου 40€) κάνουν πολύ τίμια δουλειά για content.
Το βασικό τους selling point είναι το AI Noise Cancelling, κάτι που για vloggers (όπως εγώ) είναι πραγματικά χρήσιμο, ειδικά όταν τραβάς σε ταξίδια ή σε χώρους με θόρυβο. Έχει και εφαρμογή, που απο εκεί ελέγχεις την απόδοση του μικροφώνου, την BOYA Central. Μέσα από την εφαρμογή BOYA Central μπορείς εύκολα να πειράξεις τις ρυθμίσεις και να προσαρμόσεις τον ήχο όπως σου αρέσει.
Το μόνο αρνητικό είναι ότι χρειάζεται να ξέρεις τι πειράζεις για να βγάλεις το καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα, γιατί κάθε περιβάλλον θέλει διαφορετικό setup, όπως άλλα settings θα χρησιμοποιήσεις στον δρόμο, άλλα στο σπίτι. Δεν είναι κάτι δύσκολο βέβαια, απλώς αν είσαι αρχάριος θα χρειαστείς λίγο χρόνο να μάθεις τι είναι όροι όπως Equalizer κλπ.
Συνολικά, αν ψάχνεις budget λύση για καλύτερο ήχο στα βίντεό σου, είναι επιλογή που αξίζει να τσεκάρεις, ειδικά αν σε νοιάζει η πρακτικότητα και το μικρό μέγεθος. Αν είσαι αρχάριος και θες να κάνεις τα βίντεο σου με το κινητό, τα θεωρώ μία πολύ καλή επιλογή για να ξεκινήσεις να μαθαίνεις ρυθμίσεις κλπ
Υ/Γ: Αν τα παίρνεις για κάμερα, τσέκαρε ότι η κάμερά σου δέχεται Type-C ως mic input, γιατί η Sony ZV-E10 που έχω εγώ δεν έχει είσοδο Type-C για μικρόφωνο.
