This volume includes a total of 11 of my studies related to the History and Theory of Art and Culture. Their content is broad. Issues of art history and theory as well as institutional art history are addressed, along with topics concerning the management of the country's (and not only the country's) cultural capital, as well as aspects of museological and museum education practices.
There are also articles that link art with society. The first topic analyzed in this book is the concept of "Greekness," an important theoretical issue with international roots, which took on various semantic dimensions throughout the course of modern Greek art from the late 19th century to the late 20th century.
Ten studies follow, referring to a wide range of topics. These are Greek translations of my works that were published at various times (from 2012 to 2020) in different foreign language journals. In their new form (with the addition of corresponding illustrations), the reader will have the opportunity to see and evaluate issues related to significant cultural institutions, as well as aspects of contemporary artistic creation.
