Can be used in many techniques, such as:

• drawing
• outlines
• creating large uniform areas of color gradation as the colors blend together
• painting with splashes and dripping
• the color can be reworked even after drying as it dissolves with turpentine, allowing shading and more transparent tones, something not possible with acrylic markers.
