The vise is made from special durable cast iron (SG grade 500/7 gray cast iron). The graphite cast iron is derived from pig iron as its basis, with the addition of manganese and magnesium alloying elements. SG grade 500/7 means 500 N/mm² tensile/flexural strength, and 7 indicates 7% elongation.
The cast iron graphite vise is twice as efficient compared to a standard cast iron vise, as it is harder, more durable, deforms less easily (stretches more before breaking), holds much more steadily (better compression resistance), and lasts twice as long.
- Rear sliding of the movable jaw.
- The static design of the front jaw helps transfer additional operational force and is much more durable compared to regular designs.
- Parallel vises ensure stable holding of parts of different sizes during machining.
- Handle made from forged steel C25.
- Coating: painted.
- Jaws with serrated surface, heat-treated with a built-in anvil.
- Jaws made from steel C55 with 4 mounting points on the bench.
- Special durable cast iron (nickel graphite).
- KRONUS logo cast into the body.
- Shaft made from forged steel C25.
