Ruminant Stomach Magnet
The ruminant stomach magnet is used to prevent internal injuries caused by metallic objects that may be ingested and enter the digestive system of cattle. These metal fragments can cause infection and inflammation of the abdominal cavity.
The administration of the magnet into the large rumen of a calf, when there is suspicion that it has swallowed a foreign object, can lead to the animal's recovery within two or three days. The magnet has sufficient strength to attract and collect iron shrapnel and keep it within the plastic casing.
Dimensions: 10 x 3.5 x 3.2 cm
The magnet is placed using a special device: Stomach Magnet Insertion Device, 70 cm.
Cattle often swallow foreign objects because they do not use their lips to distinguish materials and do not chew their food thoroughly before swallowing. These objects, although they may be common foods, also include dangerous elements such as nails and wires, which can cause serious conditions like traumatic reticuloperitonitis.
The cow magnet is a tool used for the treatment and prevention of diseases related to ingestion of foreign materials. It is recommended to administer the magnet at the age of 10-12 months.
