Nightfall: The Coldest War is a standalone expansion for the competitive deck-building game Nightfall. This title brings an entirely new set of cards with special powers and includes 6 new creations. It also introduces "Moon Phase" cards that change the whole game and "wound" cards with new artwork.
Each card has a base shade and 2 link colors. If you manage to match the base shade of a card with a link color of a previously played card, you can create a "chain." When a "chain" is activated, players can add cards of the same color during that move. The cards in the "chain" are resolved in reverse order: first in, last out.
The goal of Nightfall is to place as many "wound" cards as you can into an opponent's hand and finish the game with the fewest of your own. Be careful, a deck with more "wound" cards is stronger and faster.
