Available for convenient applications, the drills type N according to DIN 338 are short cylindrical drills for metals. Made of HSS-G, they are processed, ground, and coated with titanium. The cutting is right-handed with a spiral angle of 20-30° and a diameter tolerance of h8.
These drills are suitable for drilling in unalloyed and low-alloy steels with Rm ≤ 800 N/mm², in heat-treated steels with Rm ≤ 1100 N/mm², as well as for drilling in cast iron and non-ferrous materials (copper and bronze alloys). Their design includes additional grinding on the seating surface and reduction of the tool tip for easier cutting and faster drilling.
