They are made from lead-free glass and heavy metal, a product of a patented process called SON.hyx by Luigi Bormioli. The glass has remarkable mechanical, optical, and chemical properties, offering significantly increased durability and a high level of transparency and shine that remains unaffected even after 4000 industrial wash cycles.

The bases of the glasses benefit from a permanent wear-resistant treatment called TITANIUM Reinforced, which strengthens the glass surface and increases break resistance by 140%. This ensures a longer lifespan for Luigi Bormioli glasses.
