Acrylic Silicone Acryl-W, grey 280ml Den Braven

The Acryl-W Acrylic Sealant by Den Braven is a high-performance sealant based on acrylic dispersion, designed for sealing tasks in construction. After application, the product cures by water evaporation, forming a plastic-elastic joint that is durable and long-lasting.

• Paintable with water-based or synthetic paints
• Excellent adhesion on primers to various substrates, including slightly damp surfaces
• Almost odorless
• Easy application and cleaning
• Does not cause corrosion on metal surfaces

Recommended applications: Acryl-W is ideal for sealing composite joints between:

• Walls and ceilings
• Ceilings and skirting boards
• Windows and frames (wooden or metal)
• Concrete or brick elements

Application instructions:

• Joint design: An effective joint should have the appropriate size to accommodate minor movements of adjacent elements. The depth should be proportional to the width:
• For joints 5-10 mm: ratio 1:1 (minimum depth and width 5 mm)
• For joints >10 mm: ratio 1:2 (minimum depth 10 mm, maximum 15 mm)
• Surface preparation:
• Application temperature: between +5°C and +40°C (both ambient and substrate)
• The surface must be clean, stable, free from dust, grease, or other impurities
• Highly porous substrates (e.g., plaster, aerated concrete, lime) require a primer (1 part Acryl-W + 2 parts water)
• Finishing: After application, the sealant can be smoothed with water. Painting should be done only after complete drying. It provides excellent coverage with water-based and synthetic paints.
