The subject of this work is the legal formulation of the exercise of sovereign authority at the international law level. Through this regulation, individuals can be directly or indirectly affected.
To gain acceptance, such sovereign authority must be sufficiently legitimized. Using a public law approach, the principle of UN loyalty is derived based on the example of the United Nations 1267 sanctions regime, and proposals to increase its acceptance are developed.
This approach is also recommended for other areas of international law.
