Dionaea Care Instructions
- Do not feed the traps.
- Do not use other human food.
- Do not touch or close the "jaws" for play.
Each trap closes a limited number of times in its lifetime. If triggered without reason, the plant gets tired, loses energy, and the traps blacken faster. Usually, if it is outside on a balcony with sunlight, it finds small insects on its own.
Light: Prefers very bright spots, but not direct sunlight, especially in summer. Indoors, it is best placed in a bright spot to maintain its color.
Water: Requires very frequent watering with deionized or rainwater, and the soil must be sufficiently moist. Water the soil every 1-2 days or before it dries out.
Temperature: Ideal range between 10-30 °C. Do not let the temperature drop below 5 °C.
Humidity: Thrives better in a humid environment. You can spray the soil and leaves, but be careful not to spray the jaws.
Growing medium/Repotting: Use soil suitable for carnivorous plants or bonsai soil.
Height and growth rate: Maximum height 10-15 cm. It is a slow-growing plant.
Origin: America.
