SkyWatcher Barlow 2x, 31.8mm (1.25'')
This Barlow can also be used as a prime focus photographic adapter. It is of very good quality and has threads to which a ring (T-RING) can be attached to allow the connection of a camera to the telescope's prime focus. The Barlow increases the magnification of an eyepiece by two, three, or five times, depending on the manufacturer's specifications.
- Doubles the magnification options offered by the eyepieces.
- Increases eye relief for better observation of the field of view.
- Improves image quality by reducing optical errors.
- The typical Barlow lens costs about the same as a good-quality eyepiece.
Barlows are designed to fit onto the focuser, just before the eyepiece. In telescopes with a diagonal, if placed before the diagonal, it will magnify approximately 1.5 times more than its nominal power, but the telescope's focal point may shift beyond the focuser's travel limits.
The prime focus adapter (#93625) is included.
