Description

The multi-award-winning VERGINA Weiss is recognized as one of the best in the world in the Hefeweizen category, winning medals and distinctions for Greece and the independent Greek brewery in the largest international competitions. It is a beer with a rich and aromatic taste, wheaty, foamy, and cloudy appearance, which is due to the special yeast it contains. The special yeast from which it is made gives it a rich, fruity aroma reminiscent of clove and banana.

Okay, let's not exaggerate, it doesn't reach the level of well-known names like Paulaner or Primator for example, but it remains the best Greek Weiss and far ahead of the second. In reality, you need binoculars to see the second from where Vergina is located.

Unfortunately, they ruined the beer recently. I don't know why the factory changed its taste, but essentially they ruined the unique Greek premium beer. This is truly self-sabotage, I can't explain it otherwise. I also can't understand this trend in Greece to change even the most successful products. I hope the company realizes its mistake and stops the experimentation.

Nice beer at a good price and with a relatively smoky flavor, I would say it's worth a try. Definitely will be preferred again!

The best Weiss beer I have tried. Rich body, fruity character, surpasses in balance and range of flavors any German beer I have tried.

It competes fairly with German Weiss beers! I also prefer it because it is a truly Greek beer! All the other so-called Greek beers belong to foreign companies, except for the small companies that have low production.
