The Leyland Cypress in Pom Pon shape (Cupressus × leylandii Pom Pon) is an impressive, evergreen coniferous tree. The classic, hardy Leyland has been shaped through careful pruning to form compact green spheres at the branch tips. It is ideal for entrances of homes or shops, balconies, courtyards, and gardens.
It grows excellently both in large pots and directly in the ground. It withstands very low temperatures (down to -20°C or -23°C) and is resistant to strong winds and frost. It is not affected by sea salt and prefers locations with full sun or light shade.
To maintain its clean, spherical shape, it needs a light "refresh" 1 to 2 times a year, usually at the end of spring and at the end of the summer growth cycle. We lightly prune the protruding tips without removing large parts.
