Use it without hesitation. It holds extremely well on both sand and rocks. Heavy, of course, but worth it.

I have bought the Maui & Sons WindGuard umbrella, which is 2.20 m and has a pole diameter of 29 mm, and it fits perfectly. Since my friends were confused too, the umbrella comes with its own pole, which you remove and insert the impact one. Tested on a sandy beach with strong gusts of wind, it didn’t budge at all.

This is the first summer I’ve used it.
I have a fairly large and heavy 16-rib umbrella with thick fabric, with a diameter of 2.2 meters up to the ribs.
With the frills all around, it reaches 2.5 meters.
I have tried it both on sand and on fairly coarse pebbles.
The setup really takes one minute.
It seems, and I hope, to be of good quality; that will show with use over time.
It is really worth the money.

For two hours the wind was shaking the umbrella, causing the base that was stuck in the sand to loosen. See at the tenth second how it lifts and, fortunately, gets stuck again because of its weight on the ground.
Conclusion: in strong wind, we also use braces-ropes on screws that we have screwed into the ground.

Very good, the umbrella doesn't go anywhere. It's heavy, but otherwise it wouldn't do what it does. Also, people who are reading or sleeping on the beach (if there are people around) look at you a bit strangely when you stick it into the sand or gravel or even rock because you bang it in loudly, but what can you do, that's how it goes in and it doesn't matter if it's windy.

I got it for the UV umbrella 1.9m diameter, and it fit perfectly. Initially, I had taken the 26-28mm diameter and the umbrella pole only went in up to the plastic, so I changed it for the 30mm. Tool!!

I placed it on a 2.20m Maui Umbrella and in combination with the stakes, it didn't feel anything even with strong winds and gusts. For areas with pebbles, it's a must. The only downside is the weight, but it's reasonable since it's not made of aluminum which can't withstand impacts.

With incredibly powerful air and doesn't move an inch! It's worth every penny and more. Don't think about it, get it! We got it along with a Maui umbrella and it's by far the best purchase of the summer!

You can also do excavation with this specific shovel, very sturdy and does its job perfectly with 6 Beaufort and with a 2.4-meter umbrella it didn't move at all. It is suitable for dimensions of 28 to 30mm

Even when hammered into rocky ground, it withstands and is driven in as much as possible. As for sandy beaches, forget it, it's like trying to drive a nail into butter.

I was a bit skeptical at first mainly because of the cost, but I found it on sale with a 20% refund and bought two. In practice, it is a very good accessory for your umbrella, especially if it has a large diameter and doesn't move at all, it is quite long and heavy so it requires some effort in transportation and also in placing it in the car if you have a small one.
