Vertical Blinds - Vertical Shades
A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with high ceilings.
When the window has a recess:
- Measure the entire width within the recess and subtract a small gap of 0.5-1cm on each side, or more if necessary (e.g., for cable holes).
- Measure the entire height within the recess and subtract from the bottom (practically, the desired gap), usually around 2-3cm, so that the slats do not touch the floor.
For a Simple Window:
- For the window width, add 5-10cm on each side for sufficient overlap.
- For the window height, add 5-10cm to the top to accommodate the mounting brackets of the blinds.
- If there is an obstacle (e.g., radiator), consider it accordingly.
- If you have a window that opens inward, account for more additional width on that side.
For Balcony Doors:
- From the total height, that is the height of the balcony door plus 10-15cm at the top, subtract 2-3cm from the bottom.
Direction of Blinds:
- Typically, the blinds are gathered on the opposite side where the door handle is located.
- The control handle is also placed on the same side.
