The Frequency hubs feature a low-friction 6-pawl design, which alternates between two groups of 3-pawls for instant 5-degree engagement.

A durable nylon strip is placed between the rim and the tubeless tape to prevent pressure on the spoke hole, ensuring a smooth connection between tire and rim. The smooth surface facilitates tire installation, preventing air leakage during inflation. The Solid Strip also protects the system from punctures in case of a broken spoke.

Tubeless Compatibility: TCS is our standardized rim/tire system for tubeless tires, designed in accordance with international ETRTO standards. TCS systems reduce weight, increase grip, and nearly eliminate punctures, establishing themselves as the most reliable tubeless system available. Every Proterra rim uses the TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) and comes with Solid Strip, TCS tubeless tape, and pre-installed black aluminum valves. This means all Proterra wheels are tubeless-ready and sealed from the package.
