Drosera paradoxa is one of the most impressive carnivorous plants, as it has a very interesting appearance. It uses leaves with sticky dew droplets to trap its prey and then immediately moves to close its "tentacle" around the potential victim and consume it.

Unlike the Venus flytrap, drosera relies on its speed, while the glue on its hairy branches holds the prey in place until it closes around it with its branch.

It is one of the few plants on our planet that exhibit immediate movement based on stimuli received from their branches.
