The cutting disc consists of thermally treated 50# carbon steel and YG8 tungsten carbide on the cutting edge, with an edge hardness of 85 HRc (+/-2st). The GS edge geometry has an attack angle of 10st. The metal disc, laser-cut, offers rigidity and limits stress under high load and elevated temperature. The welded HM carbide allows for repeated sharpening.
The edge geometry and the shape of the GS10 plate (alternating bevels) enable processing during cross-cutting of wood. The larger number of teeth at this diameter contributes to smooth surfaces, especially on dry wood. It can also be used for longitudinal cutting, but a disc with fewer teeth is recommended for higher cutting speed.
