The blow-off valve is a pull-type, two-stage relief valve that will not leak at any boost pressure level. This ensures quick valve response and full closure at idle.

Pull-Type vs. Push-Type Valves

Pull-type blow-off valves work on any turbocharged vehicle, from stock to heavily modified. In contrast, push-type blow-off valves require spring preload adjustments specific to each vehicle's specifications. If the spring setting is too soft, leakage may occur at high pressure and the desired boost may not be achieved. If the setting is too stiff, it may not open at low pressure. The SSQV will operate at any boost pressure setting without leaks.
