The Bajan from the Foursquare distillery on the island of Barbados belongs to the category of single blended rum, meaning it is a product of distilled fermented molasses in a double retort copper pot still and in the traditional two-column coffey still. Its aging is ten years in the tropical environment of this magical island in American oak that previously housed Bourbon.
The nose is classic Bajan, fruity, with notes of vanilla, chocolate, and banana. On the palate, the warmth of burnt sugar, tropical fruits, coffee, vanilla, and quite a few spices dominate.

    A label that is not widely available, but if you come across it, definitely give it a try! If you like Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva / El Dorado 12yo or 15yo / Doorly's and similar ones, you shouldn't miss it. I was and still am a big fan of Diplomatico (and I have written a similar review here), but since I tried RL Seale's, I have it one step above (Diplomatico). Both, however, are choices that will be appreciated
