The Mathmos Astro lava lamp was designed in 1963 by Edward Craven Walker, founder of Mathmos and inventor of the lava lamp. It is a classic Pop Design that has been continuously manufactured in Britain. This collection includes lamps hand-polished by British craftspeople, featuring high-quality aluminium with a bright silver finish.

The original Astro lava lamp in matte black features a bottle filled with Mathmos’ unique lava lamp formula. The base is finished in matte black using an anodising process and is paired with black feet and a white cable. Each lamp is made to strict safety specifications.

Warning: The bulbs are intended exclusively for use with Mathmos Lava Lamps and are not suitable for household light fixtures.
