The three-step defibrillation process allows energy selection for patients of different ages, with settings of 50, 50, 75 Joules and 150, 150, 200 Joules. It features extensive voice and visual prompts for the operator, as well as manual language selection. It includes a safety lock to prevent accidental defibrillation and internal memory for 60 hours of ECG signals and events, which can be transferred to a computer.

The Defi®5s AED is supplied with a carry case, battery, pad and data transmission software. Features include:

  • Biphasic energy output
  • Long-life LiMnO2 battery with a lifespan of at least 5 years
  • Daily, weekly and monthly self-tests
  • Use of the AED while it is inside the bag
  • IPX55 water and dust resistance

The instructions for use include status information recorded during AED operation, such as the type, event time and description. The system has two buttons: ON/OFF and Shock.
