Description

The Jean Charton estate produces excellent Burgundy wines in Côte de Beaune, one of the best terroirs for white wines. Located in Puligny-Montrachet, the village that gives its name to the famous Montrachet. Established in 1859, it operates 14 hectares, producing 22 appellations, including 11 in Puligny-Montrachet, with a very strong emphasis on white wines (90% of the production). The estate favors the expression of the terroir, respecting the diversity of locations and soils.

This mosaic of terroirs makes it possible to produce very exceptional wines, elegant and complex, characteristic of the Côte de Beaune.

  • AOC Burgundy, Côte de Beaune
  • 100% Chardonnay
  • This Grand Cru was recently added to the Estate's portfolio and is Jean Chartron's smallest vineyard, just 856 square meters.
  • Corton Charlemagne differs from other white grands crus, perhaps because it is the northernmost.
  • Legendary potential for evolution in the bottle.
