Description

Description

The device is used for space heating using solid fuels (natural wooden logs).

The device is made of steel metal parts, cast iron metal components (bottom grate), and glass surfaces that line the firebox (ceramic glass).

The device is manually fed and intended to be installed as a freestanding unit.

The combustion air enters naturally through four (4) longitudinal openings located on the body of the device below the firebox. The combustion air is directed straight into the fire chamber without preheating.

The flue gases produced during the combustion process of the fuel are directed to the flue outlet located at the top of the fire chamber, diverted by an internal steel deflector installed at the top of the fire chamber.

The ash is gravity-fed through the bottom grate into the ash pan located below the fire chamber. Access to the ash pan requires opening the firebox door.

Poor construction. The mouth of the flue was crooked and exactly 12 cm, resulting in the flue not fitting. I had to cut it a bit to wedge it in. The door handle, when the stove gets a bit hot, requires a glove to grab it to open. The handle of the drawer, which also works as a damper for the air, does not slide properly and pulls the entire drawer along.
It seems to draw well. The smoke and smell it produces during the first ignitions are normal, but unbearable and excessive.

We bought it for our village (Kampos Thessaly) and replaced the oil stove. For 2 rooms, kitchen-bedroom, and our bathroom, it reduced our heating expenses by 1/3. Last year, we burned 4 tons of oak and 1.5 tons of scattered wood that we collected, and the house had so much warmth for the first time.

If you have a place with fast-growing trees, prune them every 2-3 years and you will save a lot of expenses. But be patient with the pipes because they get clogged every 1-1.5 months with a lot of stuff

The best purchase I made this winter, as the air conditioners not only do not heat the space like the wood stove, but they also consume a lot of electricity... 10 kilos of wood per day and the temperature inside the house from 17:00 to 24:00 is at 25-27 degrees, perfect for the money!
