Description

Description

Dimple, a member of the Haig family, got its name from the unique shape of its bottle, which resembles a dimple (the word dimple in Greek).

It is the aristocratic brother of Haig Gold with malt having a much greater influence on its character, which includes Single Malt whiskies from Glenkinchie and Linkwood in its blend.

The Master Blender uses whisky that has exactly the right taste, a blend of long-aged whisky with new fresh whisky. The result is an exceptionally rich and smooth whisky with a perfectly balanced and full-bodied taste that combines aromas of mango, mocha, and Brazilian nuts.

  • I expected it, if not like the previous 15-year-old, just a notch below, but unfortunately this one is several notches lower. Certainly better than the 15-20 euro range whiskies on the market, but for the 25-32 euros it costs, you can easily find about ten better ones.

A bad whiskey that you pay 40 euros for. If you know how to drink whiskey and you call it nice, you're probably fooling us. An ideal fuel for the fireplace. A very nice disinfectant for the toilet. I think it would be better to throw 40 euros in the trash than to buy this.... such a shame....

I tried it plain without ice. Poor quality blend. Very bitter and leaves a burnt aftertaste. Also quite acidic. Overall, I'm not a snob, I quite like grain whiskies but this one was terrible. At 15 euros it would be a good price for a whiskey purely for cocktails.

Typical whiskey that doesn't make a particular impression in any area. I believe it lacks in aromas and is marginally expensive for what it offers...

I don't know if they had left it somewhere in the sun or if it was just like that on its own...
For me, it was one of the least tasty and aromatic whiskies I have ever tried...
(of course, tastes differ as opinions vary on this matter)
But I can confidently say that for such a whisky, at this price and despite being sealed... It didn't impress me at all.

For a blend without an age statement and with a flavor that personally doesn't remind me of a mature whiskey, I would say it is very good but it doesn't justify its price at all. In the category of young economical blends, I would maybe even put it first. I suggest trying it somewhere else before buying it.

For me, the best whiskey for this price of 30 euros.. I have tried Johnny, the blue one, many years ago and it seemed like diluted double, I have a good enough taste to distinguish many things, and to conclude, this is definitely worth it. The only issue for me is that I have a preference for sweet regardless of the degrees, and this is sweet apart from the taste, so it goes down smoothly.

It goes down smoothly, one of the nicest, and even if you drink half a bottle it doesn't bother you.

When I buy the 18-year-old, I am sure it will be perfect. The 12 is cheap and good for everyday
