First of all, a clarification. It does NOT include a power adapter in the package, nor does it mention anywhere in the instructions how many volts of power supply it needs.
In the end, it requires 5V with a 5.5X2.5 barrel adapter. With an old power supply, probably from a modem, that I had at 5Ω/1.5A, it works fine with two external drives without any problem. And the speeds are satisfactory. The accompanying cable is a 1-meter USB 3.0 B to USB 3.0 A. And it probably doesn't have any significant electronics inside because, when it is connected to the power with the computer off, it sends power to the USB port and, if you have other devices connected to a USB port on the (off) computer, you may notice strange phenomena (lights flickering, etc.). So, I recommend removing the power cable from the back of the computer when you are not using it.
Overall, it is probably a simple plastic construction at a somewhat high price, but it is one of the few with a USB 3.0 B connection (the most reliable compared to the unacceptable Micro USB 3.0 B).
I don't regret buying it, but I'm not thrilled either...
Let's see how durable it will be over time and use.

Flash drives of size 32 GB USB 2.0 and up to 128 GB USB 3.0, as well as devices such as keyboards and mice, are recognized and work perfectly with simultaneous occupancy of all four ports. Specifically, the device has been tested simultaneously with two USB 3.0 flash drives (up to 128 GB in size, one of the two), a regular USB keyboard, and a USB mouse, and everything works as expected without any issues. Just a little caution! When powered directly through the computer connection and not from another power source, it does not support external hard drives. It has not been tested with a separate power supply to see if it eventually recognizes hard drives. The rating was given based on the tests conducted. Otherwise, it is a reliable device for what it can support.
