I have had this specific machine for a little over a year. It replaced a Philips machine which is essentially the same machine with different logos, and since it lasted almost 8 years with daily use and at least 4 coffees a day, it was a no-brainer for me to choose it again. Of course, it was kept for spare parts. Just like with the Philips, I buy ground coffee here (I left the grinder aside because I messed up the kitchen and my wife was not happy) or from the market, no illy. I turn on the coffee maker until I put the coffee in the filter, it has already heated up. 30-35 seconds to brew the coffee into the cup for my lungo and again, everything is ready in less than a minute. I never used bottled water, never did any descaling, and maybe that's why the Philips lasted 8 years. But I do the same with the Gaggia because, as I said, I want a quick coffee without fuss. The white color stains easily and after each coffee, it needs a wipe with a sponge, so keep that in mind. At €80, if it lasts that long, I will be completely satisfied. For now, it's not complaining.
