Description

The Single Malt whisky from the Deanston label, originating from Scotland, is produced by a single distillery and is made exclusively from malted barley, yeast, and water. This single malt spent 12 years maturing in oak barrels before being bottled.

Fresh summer aromas, rich creamy caramel, and honeyed heather, balanced with sweet oak and barley sugar. Soft creamy sweetness with rich notes of fruit, spicy honey, and gentle vanilla on the palate. Crisp and satisfying with hints of clove that linger in the mouth and then gently fade away.

Truly a very special whisky for someone to try. From the aroma, you realize that you are dealing with a different whisky from many other well-known ones on the market.

The aroma is very fruity and has notes of flowers, lemon, honey, and vanilla.

The taste is quite smooth for a 12-year-old, to the point that it resembles an aristocratic 18-year-old whisky at 43 degrees, but this one is 12 years at 46.3%. It is soft and very pleasant in the mouth with notes of lemon, a bit of zest, sweet malt, honey, vanilla, ginger, and flowers. I would say it is a rather earthy whisky with a very distinctive taste.

The finish leaves you with a pleasant sweet malty sensation that lasts quite a while.

Overall, for its price, I find it excellent. It is non-chill filtered (NCF) at 46.3% with natural color, amazing price, and a rather unique taste. It relaxes you and creates images in your mind about the origin of its flavors. I highly recommend it.

Every time I write about a malt whisky I say the same things, that is, there is no bad malt, it's a matter of taste. This particular one - I have also drunk various other Deanston - perhaps needs a little more time to stay in the glass to reveal its identity. It also has a bit more oak than I would like, but for an Islay fan like me, it's a very good spirit

An excellent malt. Truly very high quality. Warm, fresh, quite complex for its age. Its taste brings wood with a light honey vanilla citrus as time passes and it opens up to apple orange spiciness. Truly dangerously enjoyable! And very high quality. You can find more information in the video
