In Forbidden Desert, a thematic sequel to Forbidden Island, players take on the roles of brave explorers who must overcome the heat and sand to recover a legendary flying machine buried beneath an ancient desert city. Forbidden Desert offers cooperative gameplay similar to Forbidden Island, but it is a new game based on innovative mechanics such as an ever-changing board, individual resource management, and a unique method of locating parts of the flying machine.
