The base is very good in everything except for one basic element. The part of the base that holds the mobile does not secure it, but simply attaches it with the weight of the device to the rest of the base. The result is that you cannot turn the mobile sideways because it falls! I used it like this permanently, so it loses in one of its basic functions. Otherwise, if the upright position of the mobile suits you, it is not a bad base.
