The book certifies not only that the structure of the phrase and the way of writing are essentially the same in Greek and Latin, but also that they form the basis of syntax and literature in our languages today. In one way or another, the Greek and Latin languages remain alive today.
Referring, in fact, to ancient Greek, which has had a particular influence on Latin and which already had a similar way of structuring phrases, it is said that the European languages today are "semi-Greek" or "crypto-Greek." The same can be said for Modern Greek. Although they originate from the Demotic, they would not constitute a cultural category without the enormous influence of the Katharevousa, which, as is well known, comes from the prose language of the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine eras.
This is a book that offers, on the one hand, all the theory for the parallelism of the two classical languages, such as, for example, the influence of Greek on Latin, and on the other hand, a particularly educational presentation of syntactic phenomena. It is important from a theoretical and pedagogical perspective and can also be used in other countries if the Modern Greek texts (translations, syntactic rules, and exercises) are translated into the relevant familiar languages.
