For those seeking more energy from their runs, adidas has designed the Ultraboost 5, which uses a redesigned LIGHTBOOST midsole filled with 9 millimeters more foam under the heel and forefoot, allowing for reduced weight, greater cushioning, and 2% more energy return in the forefoot compared to the Ultraboost Light 1. The Boost-filled midsole, which offers higher responsiveness and heel absorption, immediately bounces back to its original shape as the runner's foot strikes the ground, allowing them to go further while expending the same amount of energy.

Ultraboost 5 Vs Ultraboost 5X

For the first time, Adidas has introduced two versions of its popular series, the Ultraboost 5 and the Ultraboost 5X. Both models feature a Primeknit upper, Light Boost sole, Torsion System, pre-shaped heel clip, and Continental outer sole. However, the Ultraboost 5X weighs 17 grams less (it does not have the cage on the upper part where the laces tie) and is an ideal choice for runners who prefer a lighter shoe.
