I have been buying it for quite a few years so I can judge this particular coffee, but the last two times I bought it the taste was completely different, as if the contents were not this specific coffee; a big difference in taste, aroma, and intensity, they have definitely changed something, the difference is noticeable, and the purchase was from different stores

After quite some time with Dimello Capri, I was looking for an alternative since at €42/kg I now consider it not worth it. I tried the Hausbrandt H.H. and the similarity is impressive, I might even prefer it for freddo espresso.
With a recipe of 18g in, 36g out, 8.5 bar, 31" extraction at 92°C, it gives very nice intensity, rich body, and excellent crema. Taste-wise, I find it more chocolatey than the Capri, with more natural sweetness and a more pleasant, easy-drinking character.
For those who like Dimello Capri but are looking for something more economical, I think Hausbrandt H.H. is an excellent suggestion. It offers a similar profile, with a bit more chocolate and sweetness in the cup.

after three years of using it, be very careful!!! as much as we can see it.. inside the coffee beans there were small stones which resulted in my grinder breaking

One of the safest choices, because it suits all palates. It doesn't require a very fine grind, which also helps non-professional grinders.

Good choice, if you don't want something bitter, neither bitter nor harsh, medium roasted. It can be ground finely without becoming too heavy/bitter.

For my taste, it is one of my favorite coffees, intense body, intense aroma and chocolate scent with bitterness at the end.

One of the best coffees in its category. You don't need to be a barista or have expensive equipment to make a good coffee with this one. Ratio 80/20.

You can easily get a decent and easy-to-drink result (especially for freddo it's super), without needing an expensive machine or a very expensive grinder. Nor does it require you to have barista knowledge. These are the most basic characteristics of this coffee.
The above, which are advantages for most people, act as disadvantages for those who are actually home baristas and have worked hard to get there. The coffee does not have a particular 'character', something that stands out and that you have to work to bring out, as is the case with more specialty beans. Inevitably, mass-market brands like Illy, Lavazza, and Hausbrandt are interested in having a product that appeals to as many people as possible. So, it can't be 'eccentric' at the same time.

I am a fan of the Hausbrandt brand. Therefore, I have put myself in the process of trying all the varieties offered by this brand. Having read some negative comments about this particular one, I believed it was exaggerated, I said it can't be, it's Hausbrandt. And yet... it was confirmed. H.Hausbrandt is so far the worst of this brand that I have tasted.

It is the definition of mediocrity. Average aroma, average body, average intensity. But what really disappointed me is that it has grounds inside (broken and damaged beans). If someone wants cheap coffee, it's much better to go to Lavazza a thousand times

Having tried 2-3 from the Hausbrandt series as well as 4-5 cheaper ones, I will say that it is by far the best. I mainly drink freddo espresso on a semi-automatic Delonghi with a very fine grind on the grinder.

Nice aromatic coffee. With the appropriate settings, it is ideal for the semi-automatic Delonghi Magnifica.

Coffee that has very few rivals.. I use it relentlessly in my Delonghi Dedica and the result is that I wouldn't change it for anything.. It's unfair to compare it to Lavazza, etc..

It has a sharpness and I don't really like it, also it "muddies" in the espresso machine's filter resulting in clogging and not producing any coffee! While with Lavazza it works fine...

I had no taste, I had bought it a year ago and I liked it this time at all, it didn't smell like coffee at all, completely tasteless and it had an expiration date of 2023!!!

Awesome coffee. It perfectly meets my needs. I also tried the more expensive one in the blue packaging and it has a terrible taste.

Indifferent coffee, I had to put my nose inside the packaging to smell it, when I brewed it, it had a hint of cocoa aroma but that's about it, a little acidic but still not worth choosing again

Completely indifferent. It has a slightly sour character, and that's the only characteristic one can describe. Other reviews mention the smell - I will mention the lack of it. The cheap Lavazza Espresso Crema e Gusto, when you open it, it smells up the house. This one, you have to stick your nose inside the packaging.

I would say it's like vanilla in ice cream, and I would rate it as average, but vanilla is cheap comparatively. Hausbrandt is expensive for what it offers, that's why 2 stars.

In the automatic machine I have, it gave me the worst coffee I have ever tasted, leaving a bitter and burnt aftertaste.

It is clear that this is a quality coffee. It is a strong coffee without many frills. However, I feel like it is missing something in terms of aroma and flavor for perfection. I can smell the beans and they smell wonderful, you want to eat them as they are. But I can't seem to achieve that in my machine. It is possible that the machine is to blame. I haven't tried many in the 20-25€ category, so I don't have a clear opinion. Definitely much better than what I have tried in the 10-19€ range. Settings for the magnifica ecam machine: water temperature 1/4, grind between 3-5, extraction for 25 seconds, intensity maximum.

One of the best blends of the company! Full-bodied, it has intensity and is suitable for freddo espresso. It has a very nice flavor and you can tell that you are drinking coffee.

For my taste, light and mainly for freddo. The gourmet strangely suited me better

The coffee is very good for its price and maintains the quality of Hausbrandt. However, it is a step behind Hausbrandt Gran Canal, which is the top in my opinion, especially for cold drinks like Freddo Espresso.

I know that most people will not agree with what I am about to write, but taste is a subjective matter. For those interested in flavor profiles, I consider this to be by far the worst branded coffee. Its acidity creates a sensation on my tongue that I do not like at all. It reminds me of a soda that has lost some of its carbonation.

There hasn't been another company where I stop and get coffee and it's the same. I can't drink any more coffee.
