This volume publishes two texts related to the art of rhetoric and three others concerning traditional Greek costumes and ecclesiastical vestments. Five studies in total, resulting from collaborative research efforts, have been presented at conferences or published in scientific journals and collective volumes, both in Greece and abroad. It involves an intangible aspect and an art of craftsmanship, the art of rhetoric, and the art of clothing, in both everyday and ritualistic and ecclesiastical contexts, which, as shown in the second study of the volume, occasionally intersect, as happens with nearly all aspects of popular culture. These are two fields for which an exceptionally rich bibliography has developed, both in Greek and in international contexts, yet they still present significant research interest, as many of their individual elements have not been sufficiently studied.
