Let pass requests for the free movement of capital, but I envision a grammar in which capitals will travel freely. Beyond the periods, they will be moved freely by poets and shared according to needs among all words, as a net of solidarity for the destitute prose.
The new poetry collection by Dimou Chloptsioudi transforms the doctrine of European liberalism, laissez faire laissez passer, into a perspective of freedom in the movement of dreams. Dreams are one of the central themes: "With how many r's is the dream written?" – title of a poem.
The collection, oriented towards social anxiety, embraces as a parenthesis whatever differs: the refugee (in the era of nationalism, I don’t know in which language to write), the unemployed father, the petty-bourgeois Western Thessaloniki. The poems about poetics stand out, with their steadfast orientation towards society: "Poem is the unemployed father... poem is the old woman..." (‘The Metalanguage of Poetry I’) – "I believe in a/ideological man... I pray to a/Promethean man" (“The Metalanguage of Poetry II”).
"I will maintain the monopoly on borrowing sounds in notes of interest sensations" (“The Banker”).
Deeply human and politicized poetry, with substance and respect for the human being, life, and art. A significant contribution to the difficult social reality. A proof of sensitivity.
