    After 1-2 uses in cooling mode: when it starts, it makes a somewhat loud noise, but only until it reaches temperature. After that it’s fine, especially in silent mode. I didn’t have any noise from the plastics. And the outdoor unit is audible (outside) within reasonable limits. It’s not bothersome. I have it in a bedroom and it cooled it easily. But these weren’t heatwave conditions either. We’ll see later how it performs in difficult conditions. The remote control has a more solid feel than others I’ve seen. Some functions don’t have a separate button; you have to use a combination of buttons. For example, ECO MODE, which is available in the app, though. Anyone who can’t connect and use the app should try going into the router settings, temporarily switching it to 2.4, and after connecting, switching it back to 5GHz.
    That’s all for now. If I notice anything else, I’ll add it.

I put a 12k Umi in the room last year, and I also have the previous model, the 12k Umi Eco, in the living room for 4 years now in a 65 sq.m. apartment exposed on 3 sides all around and with a rooftop above.     I replaced an old Fujitsu which are now unaffordable. I was afraid to buy a very cheap air conditioner because I read about burnt circuit boards etc., and you can't really experiment, especially since installation and uninstallation now cost as much as a cheap air conditioner... This particular model is OK in terms of cooling, it's decent. But in terms of noise, I can't say the same. Even in Quiet mode, you can't really call it quiet, since the indoor unit makes a terrible humming noise that causes a headache; when the outdoor fan stops spinning, the humming stops too. If it were in the living room, I wouldn't have a problem, but it's in the bedroom and actually above the bed, so even the slightest sound is noticeable. I hope I get used to it...

    I have had it for three years in a bedroom. It is silent, works perfectly, heats and cools the room very quickly. No malfunctions, no yellowing of the plastics. The house is old and on a corner, exposed to winds, heat, etc., without insulation. I have no complaints, in fact when the bedroom door is open it covers a large part of the apartment (the apartment is 60 sq.m. in total). I have another old 12,000 BTU air conditioner that I am thinking of replacing soon and I think I will choose the Toyotomi Umi again. Also, very economical in consumption

The technician who installed it showed me that its "internals" are made in China, regardless of the box saying "made in Japan" on the outside...     The machine has been installed for a month now in a 50sqm space with crazy losses from existing air ducts and a door that opens constantly...
    Even though the conditions in the space are far from ideal now in the winter, it does an excellent job!
    I won't tell you that the space feels like an oven, but you can now sit inside without freezing comfortably, even with so many negatives present in the space.
    It hasn't been tested in the heat yet, but if with such cold, in such a poorly insulated space, it performs like this in heating... I believe in the cold it will work wonders!!!
    And I haven't even mentioned the 4 filters that do an incredible job with people smoking like chimneys inside the space.
    If they don't raise the prices again, it's worth it... at 650-700 euros I think it's worth its money and more.

    Worth its money.
    EDIT: I was very satisfied, tested it in winter too, I bought another one just like it. The parent company, central offices, is in Japan, the air conditioner is made in China, it says so on the packaging, I mention it because some people think it's Japan made. (photo).     After 1-2 uses in cooling mode: when it starts, it makes a somewhat loud noise, but only until it reaches temperature. After that it’s fine, especially in silent mode. I didn’t have any noise from the plastics. And the outdoor unit is audible (outside) within reasonable limits. It’s not bothersome. I have it in a bedroom and it cooled it easily. But these weren’t heatwave conditions either. We’ll see later how it performs in difficult conditions. The remote control has a more solid feel than others I’ve seen. Some functions don’t have a separate button; you have to use a combination of buttons. For example, ECO MODE, which is available in the app, though. Anyone who can’t connect and use the app should try going into the router settings, temporarily switching it to 2.4, and after connecting, switching it back to 5GHz.

    I replaced an old Fujitsu which are now unaffordable. I was afraid to buy a very cheap air conditioner because I read about burnt circuit boards etc., and you can't really experiment, especially since installation and uninstallation now cost as much as a cheap air conditioner... This particular model is OK in terms of cooling, it's decent. But in terms of noise, I can't say the same. Even in Quiet mode, you can't really call it quiet, since the indoor unit makes a terrible humming noise that causes a headache; when the outdoor fan stops spinning, the humming stops too. If it were in the living room, I wouldn't have a problem, but it's in the bedroom and actually above the bed, so even the slightest sound is noticeable. I hope I get used to it...

    The machine has been installed for a month now in a 50sqm space with crazy losses from existing air ducts and a door that opens constantly...
    Even though the conditions in the space are far from ideal now in the winter, it does an excellent job!

    After 1-2 uses in cooling mode: when it starts, it makes a somewhat loud noise, but only until it reaches temperature. After that it’s fine, especially in silent mode. I didn’t have any noise from the plastics. And the outdoor unit is audible (outside) within reasonable limits. It’s not bothersome. I have it in a bedroom and it cooled it easily. But these weren’t heatwave conditions either. We’ll see later how it performs in difficult conditions. The remote control has a more solid feel than others I’ve seen. Some functions don’t have a separate button; you have to use a combination of buttons. For example, ECO MODE, which is available in the app, though. Anyone who can’t connect and use the app should try going into the router settings, temporarily switching it to 2.4, and after connecting, switching it back to 5GHz.
    That’s all for now. If I notice anything else, I’ll add it.
