Description & Specifications

Psyllium comes from the Indian plant plantago indica. It is known for its strong action in protecting the gastrointestinal system. It has a mild laxative effect without affecting the intestinal mucus, cleanses the intestine, and helps in the normal functioning of bowel movements. It is used in cases such as irritable bowel, constipation, hypercholesterolemia, and obesity. Psyllium retains water at a rate of 1/6 of its weight, keeping the contents of the intestine soft, which allows for quick and comfortable bowel movements.

Additionally, it regulates blood sugar levels by slowing down the absorption of carbohydrates and promoting the proper functioning of the body. It increases the feeling of fullness and reduces appetite, making it effective for weight loss. It is suitable for individuals with chronic spastic colitis.

Directions for use: Add 1 to 2 tsp to plenty of water or juice up to 3 times a day if the problem is severe. For mild symptoms, add 2 tsp in the evening to plenty of water or juice. Gradually reduce the amount over time.
