Matte acrylic paints, water-soluble and specially formulated for airbrushes. The Model Air color range includes the most comprehensive selection of military colors used throughout modern history, including colors from World War I and II to the present day.
Each color is based on extensive research of existing military references to provide the modeler with the maximum possible historical accuracy. Model Air can be applied directly or thinned with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It is recommended to first prime the surface and then apply Model Air in several layers.
The paints dry very quickly and form a homogeneous paint surface of exceptional durability, preserving even the finest details of the model. For airbrush use, it is recommended that the compressor air pressure be 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg. Model Air can of course also be applied with a brush.
For proper airbrush maintenance, it is recommended to use Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.
Safety: Model Air is not flammable and does not contain solvents. Please also refer to the certified safety information for the product on the Safety page.
Packaging: Model Air is available in 17 ml./0.57 fl.oz. bottles with a dropper. This packaging prevents the evaporation and drying of the paint inside the container, allowing it to be used in small amounts and kept for a long time.
