Matte acrylic paints, water-soluble and specially formulated for airbrush application. The Model Air color series includes the most comprehensive selection of military colors used in modern history, including colors from World War I, World War II, and up to the present day.
Each color is based on extensive research by our experts on existing and past military references, providing the model maker with the highest possible historical accuracy. Model Air can be used directly or thinned with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It is recommended to preheat the surface first and then apply Model Air in several layers.
The paints dry very quickly and form a homogeneous color surface with excellent durability, retaining even the smallest details of the model. For airbrushing these paints, the recommended air pressure from the compressor is 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg. Model Air can, of course, also be applied with a brush.
For proper maintenance of the airbrush, the use of Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner is recommended. Safety: Model Air is not flammable and does not contain solvents.
Packaging: Model Air is supplied in 17 ml./0.57 fl.oz. bottles with a dropper. This packaging prevents evaporation and drying of the paint inside the container, allowing it to be used in minimal amounts and kept for a long time.
